Just last February, James Suckling, expert wine taster and writer for Wine Spectator, taste-tested and judged the Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi DOC - Le Vaglie 2010 – of the Santa Barbara Winery, to be among the best wines, giving it high marks of 92/100 and including it in the promotion sponsored by SAQ (the Canadian monopoly of Quebec).
The Fazi Battaglia Winery in recent weeks has participated in the sixth edition of Luca Maroni’s Sensofwine in Rome where the winery presented its own labels for tasting and, in particular, its Rieverdi 2010. This wine was obtained from an unusual blending of Riesling grapes grown in the Marche and autochthonous Verdicchio grapes; the result has been awarded for its pleasant drinkability.
